Where’s the reason why

We as human beings

Are allowed to walk this Earth

Nobody holding our hands and leading

Get the chance to be a pro at letting myself down

I do what I hate the most

Give myself the best chance at feeling alone

Selling yourself door to door

In the business of breaking hearts

But I don’t need your help anymore

I know exactly who you are

I have seen your kind before

You’ve got a very specific plan that includes

Picking my heart up off of your floor

I’m a one-man army

A self-sufficient wrecking crew

If someone’s gonna tear me down

It certainly won’t be you
